Unpacking

Blog, blog blog!  We got our stuff delivered a while ago.  I think it’s been about two weeks now.  It was quite a bit of stuff.  We were a little worried we wouldn’t find places for it all.  Our apartment now is a lot smaller than our old place in Mankato, but we’ve pretty much got everything unpacked and it looks like we’ve found homes for just about everything.  I think we actually had a good amount of wasted space in our last apartment and now all of our storage capacity is used much more efficiently.  In any case, it’s nice to no longer feel like squatters in our own home.

The movers put the boxes and things everywhere.

Having professional movers is amazing, magical even.  They pack your stuff and carry it down to the truck for you and you don’t lift a finger.  It makes me feel downright spoiled and they packed it all up faster than I could ever do it myself.  One of their secrets is rolls and rolls of paper.  They put some wads of paper in a cardboard box, then they take some items, wrap them with paper and put them in the box on top of the paper.  Then they fill the spaces in between the items with paper.  When the box is nearly full with mostly paper, they fill it the rest of the way with paper.  Paper paper paper.

Check it out.

I now know so many people that have used professional movers. It is my dream to use professional movers someday. It seems nice.
