To Frankfurt

The final leg of the flying was about 2 hours. At this point I wasn’t feeling so great, so I napped some more. It really helped. Here’s what we looked like before my nap:

Tired

Before I knew it we were sitting on the tarmac in Frankfurt, Germany. We were at the way back of the plane, so we had to wait a bit for it to clear and get off.

The Frankfurt is, unsurprisingly, full of German, so I had no idea what was going on. I followed Mary Jo around. We hit the baggage claim. I left to use the bathroom, and when I cam back, Mary Jo had all three of our bags. It’s amazing that they made it there with us.

We noticed something odd though. One of these things is not like the others.

Locks

We’re not sure what happened, but one of the cases had a new lock. Even more strange, the key to the lock we put on the bag works with this new lock. Who knows. I should try to send a bill to the Department of Homeland Security for the lock. Also, “homeland” != “motherland”. Hehehehehe.

Anyway, we made our way down to the train station. We were way ahead of schedule, so we decided that instead of sitting around for 3 hours waiting for our reserved train, maybe we could get on an earlier one. We checked with a train rep and she said to just go ahead and take an earlier one. Yay! We got on the next train and went to the main Frankfurt train station. We were a bit worried because according to the schedule we had, the train actually going to Austria had already left. Fortunately, that too was running late, so we managed to hop right on.
