I was a little leary of getting on a plane my first time and going so far. It all went really well getting there. On the way back we had to thank Joni and Will for the training we did. We walked a lot seeing all the sights. We had to really hustle to get on the flight from Frankfurt to Chicago. We had only a few minutes to spare.

It was so awesome to just spend some time with the kids. They were really wonderful and made our stay “ausgezeichnet” The churches and castles are beautiful. The view from up in the castles was wonderful. The mountains are breath taking. The Zoo was exciting and a little scary. The bats are not separated from the people with screens or fence. We saw some animals that I think are not in zoos here. (Panda bear and aardvark). I really enjoyed the flowers and the gardens. The designs are really cool.

The weather was the best it could be (sunny and 70 degrees every day). Now being home it has been raining and snowing some. The play grounds are really cool over there. My “little girl” had fun playing in the sand and water. lol It was really neat to see and experience another culture. I liked that a lot of the little cafes had tables and chairs with umbrellas out side right in front of the building. It was all very festive. The food was always very good. Even the squid. I am sure glad to be having my coffee again when ever I want. Although (I thought) a little high priced, the coffee over there was very good. They tend to treat it as more for dessert and you don’t usually get free refills.

Dennis really liked the ice cream stands. There seemed to be a lot of them and they had sooo many different flavors to choose from. We must of had ice cream twice a day. Good thing we walked a lot. lol

We had a really great time and I would consider going back……..some day.

Yes, we thought it was so brave of you to make your first plane ride such a long one too. But standing in there with those BATS was even braver of you! Yuck! Glad you had a great, safe trip.
