Space Needle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Space Needle was neat.\u00a0 Yes, we took pictures, mostly because there&#8217;s not much else to do up there.\u00a0 They do have some binoculars on posts and you can buy snacks.\u00a0 And there are some maps you can manipulate.\u00a0 One thing that I thought was particularly neat was a thing that showed the area around the Space Needle and you could do a time lapse on it to see it change throughout the day and night.\u00a0 Of course, they have a gigantic gift shop in the bottom.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s look at our daytime photos shall we?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think I need to tell you to click to embiggen.\u00a0 (I know &#8220;embiggen&#8221; isn&#8217;t a real word.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4122.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Me\" src=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4122_small.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Will said something funny.\u00a0 Rather than, &#8220;say cheese,&#8221; he said something like, &#8220;pretend\u00a0 you&#8217;re happy with your sham marriage!&#8221;\u00a0 Oh he&#8217;s a funny guy, that one.\u00a0 Also, for just a second when I was looking around up there I thought to myself, &#8220;hey, shouldn&#8217;t we be able to see the Space Needle from this high up?&#8221;\u00a0 Oh, we make a good pair.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4127.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Us\" src=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4127_small.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was windy up there, and cold.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s see more pictures.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4124.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"City\" src=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4124_small.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4125.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"City\" src=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4125_small.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To get this shot, I had to stick the camera outside of the guard wires.\u00a0 If the camera didn&#8217;t have a wrist strap I probably wouldn&#8217;t have risked it.\u00a0 Will also expressed some nervousness about dropping the camera.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4128.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Picture\" src=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4128_small.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of these buildings is the one Will works in.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the one that&#8217;s surrounded by all those other buildings.\u00a0 He say he&#8217;ll add an arrow later so it&#8217;s clear which one.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4129.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"McDonalds\" src=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4129_small.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They know how to advertise right next to the Space Needle.\u00a0 We also took a video of a complete circle around the observation deck.\u00a0 You can hear the wind affecting the audio.\u00a0 Too bad it was cloudy so you couldn&#8217;t see any mountains.\u00a0 Oh well.\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure we&#8217;ll be back when we have visitors.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3XqSl4w2C5U\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Now let&#8217;s see the views from the Space Needle at night.\u00a0 They have a special deal with the CityPass where you get two trips up the Space Needle.\u00a0 Speaking of trips up the Space Needle, the elevators are on the outside of it and the doors have windows, so when you&#8217;re going up you can see everything.\u00a0 Will manages this by standing in the back of the car, clutching the railing, and trying not to think about what&#8217;s happening.\u00a0 After we get out of the elevator he&#8217;s fine.<\/p>\n<p>Right, pictures.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4132.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Night\" src=\"http:\/\/willz.org\/hosted\/blog\/exploringseattle02\/IMG_4132_small.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were a lot more people up there at night.\u00a0 I think we got there around 9:30.\u00a0 The wind had died down;
