Okay, last day.\u00a0 We got up and went to Cafe Bohem.\u00a0 I guess they have a little restaurant that is open in the evenings and they just opened this little cafe next door that is open in the mornings.\u00a0 It was their first day and the employees were still learning how to do everything.\u00a0 But that was okay because everything was free.\u00a0 The boys had coffee and Jaci and I had tea.\u00a0 We also had croissants.\u00a0 Then we went back to the house to pack up our stuff to head to the airport.\u00a0 On the way back, I took some pictures of their neighborhood.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So we packed up our stuff and said goodbye to Winston, the dog, and headed to the airport.\u00a0 But we did make one very important stop on the way at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.\u00a0 I guess it’s part of the Smithsonian but they don’t have room for all this stuff so they moved it to a building between the city and the airport.\u00a0 What is the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, you ask?\u00a0 A museum of air- and spacecraft.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So airplanes.\u00a0 Also space stuff.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

But these were not the most important space things.\u00a0 Presented without comment:<\/p>\n

Okay, well I am going to comment.\u00a0 This thing is gigantic and it’s been in space.\u00a0 And when they launch it, they attach things to it that are even bigger.\u00a0 <\/em>Will was wondering if it was worth it to jump that fence there and go touch it.\u00a0 I’m not sure he wasn’t kidding.\u00a0 He was pretty excited.<\/p>\n

Here’s what Will has to say about Discovery, “*Sigh,* I really regret not running out there and touching it.\u00a0 I’m seriously considering calling the director of the museum and asking how much of “a contribution” would be necessary to be able to get in there and touch it.\u00a0 As Jaci tweeted about me, I feel that one of my life’s goals has been achieved all too unexpectedly.”\u00a0 I’m a little concerned that Will has too little to live for now.\u00a0 Anyway, I thought the space shuttle was neat.<\/p>\n

There was a gift shop of course.\u00a0 They had freeze dried astronaut ice cream and little space suit costumes that were unfortunately too small for Will.\u00a0 After seeing all the air- and spacecraft we had lunch which was nothing to write home or blog about.\u00a0 Then we were off to the airport.\u00a0 We said goodbye to Ben and Jaci, who were most excellent hosts.\u00a0 We did the airport thing, which was also not very interesting.\u00a0 Although I did find a tiny toy snake under the seat in front of me.<\/p>\n
