This weekend was Oktoberfest here in Fremont.\u00a0 Well, we walked past it; it didn’t look that exciting and the entrance fee was pretty expensive, so we skipped it.\u00a0 Plus you know, we’re hoping for baby so I’m not getting my drink on anymore.<\/p>\n

Instead we went to the Wallingford Wurst Festival which was free.\u00a0 It’s a fundraiser for a Catholic elementary school so it was really kid oriented, but it was something to do.\u00a0 They had some craft tables and a book fair.\u00a0 And a lot of bounce houses and kids’ games.\u00a0 The food was good.\u00a0 Will, of course, had to make some puns using the word “wurst.”\u00a0 Luckily, this sign on the way home told him what’s what:<\/p>\n

We’re not doing much else this weekend.\u00a0 I made caramels, but I let them get too hot so now they’re pretty hard; they soften up a bit in yer mouth though.\u00a0 I’m working on reading Harry Potter so we can watch the next movie.\u00a0 The last book I read was pretty good toward the end.\u00a0 Sometimes they can be kind of boring.\u00a0 Part of it might be that Will got them for me in German so I do have to read them more carefully than I would if they were in English.\u00a0 Plus I know a lot of the big spoilers so I think a certain anticipation is missing.\u00a0 Sadface.<\/p>\n

Work is good.\u00a0 I’m mostly subbing at the Kaplan Seattle branch right now and I’m hoping to get a more permanent class soon.\u00a0 It’s nice not having to drive anywhere.\u00a0 Seattle traffic is really terrible so I’m happy to take a car off the road.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s nice to get some extra exercise too.<\/p>\n

I know a good writer would write some kind of conclusion.<\/p>\n
