We went to the gym today.\u00a0 It was nice and it put me in a good mood.\u00a0 Since my schedule isn’t very hectic, I can see us spending a lot of time there.\u00a0 I have a goal of being able to do a pull-up. \u00a0 If I do get strong enough to do a one, I wonder how much it will change the appearance of my arms.\u00a0 I don’t want to have man arms.\u00a0 We’ll see how it goes; maybe I’ll never be able to do it no matter how much I work out.<\/p>\n

In other news, I’ve been looking at English idioms and phrases to present to my students.\u00a0 English-speakers seem to have something against the Dutch:<\/p>\n

If something like a meal is a Dutch treat, then each person pays their own share of the bill.<\/dd>\n
Dutch uncle<\/a><\/dt>\n
A Dutch uncle is a person who gives unwelcome advice.<\/dd>\n
Dutch wife<\/a><\/dt>\n
