Whew! That’s a lot of updating. This is your handy dandy summary post, so check out everything from the big parents visit! We’ve even included a little blurb on what we did each day. (Don’t tell anyone – that was mainly for us to remember what we had actually done!)<\/p>\n
Parents arrived in Linz on Sunday evening. We spent Monday seeing the fort grounds and the main churches.<\/p>\n
Early Tuesday we caught a train to Salzburg and saw the big fort there.<\/p>\n
We spent the morning and early afternoon looking at churches, cemeteries, and the big garden\/park. That evening we caught a train to Vienna.<\/p>\n
We spent the entire day at the palace there. We saw the grounds and looked through the zoo.<\/p>\n
Friday we covered the main city center. We had a carriage ride, looked at the cathedral, saw some shops, had a Sacher torte, then caught a train back to Linz.<\/p>\n
Saturday we went to Bauhaus, then had a tour of the cathedral, including a trip up the spire. Later that evening we went to Easter Vigil mass at the same cathedral.<\/p>\n
Sunday was a lazy day with a quick trip to the fort museum, then cards and supper at the dorm.<\/p>\n
Early Monday we had breakfast at the hotel, then brought the parents out to the airport. We got their luggage checked, had a little sit down and chat, then got them through security and on the plane. We spent the rest of the day resting!<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
