Update

I work in a college that educates teachers.  The teachers practice in a school not too far from my house.  Because I don’t quite get enough hours at the college, we decided I could also go to some lessons at the school.  I’ve already taught two lessons there, introducing myself and such.  The kids I work with are all about thirteen.  It’s nice because now I’m getting experience with students in a few different age groups.  Some of the students I work with at the college are middle-aged, some are right out of high school, and some are in between.  And now I work with thirteen year olds a bit, too.

I’m not sure if we told you, but Will got a haircut a little more than a week ago.  He gets nervous about it, but the same woman as last time cut his hair and there was a book with a picture we could show her.  I think she does a nice job.

Will started his second German class today.  I think he rather enjoyed it, but I think I’ll let him tell you more about it if he wants to.

The blog’s been a little bit boring lately I think.  We’re planning a trip to the mountains in February and we’re taking a trip to Berlin, too.  I’m sure we’ll have more things to post then.

  • We’ve got a video that’s going to go up… sometime. I just got done filming now it’s time for editing! Mwahahaha!

The German class was a good time. We all introduced ourselves then went over some basic greetings and whatnot. I got a little cocky. During one exercise there were pictures with little word bubbles that we got to fill in.

One was of a man bringing a woman breakfast in bed. For the man I put a normal “Good morning!”, then for the woman instead of putting something like “Good morning to you too!” I put “Who are you?”

I’m glad we didn’t have to share with the class.

I’m anxious to hear if Austrian thirteen year olds act like American thirteen year olds -just kinda bored with everything, don’t hesitate to speak up and tell you what they think (rude or not), etc. I’m glad this experience has come around for you Mary Jo.
I thought we agreed that Will would act weird only in the USA. I see he’s forgotten that. And he has had that haircut phobia since he was 4. What’s he think? It won’t grow back?
