Kitchen Tour

Hey, so here is a tour of our kitchen.  I forgot to mention in the video that it is also really echo-y.  Also, the stove has a button that you have to push to turn it on and it also turns off by itself after a while like the hallway lights.  Enjoy:

Super Update

So, the blog got slammed with updates. Good luck! (Oldest to Newest) Meeting and Stuff English Tummy Tub Photos Brewing Problem Schmelzkäse-Eckerl Other Items

Other Items

Before I forget, I need to mention a few things. First, we bought a TV today. It’ll be nice to take in some culture, watch kid’s shows to learn some German, and have something to hook my Xbox up to. It’s small and cheap, but that’s all we need… and Mary Jo would let me […]

Schmelzkäse-Eckerl

Today’s cheese is the Schmelzkäse-Eckerl. This bad boy is soft cheese. The name is literally “melting cheese”. You can also see it’s pretty good sized. The best part is that it was only a single Euro! Whooo! Cheap cheese! Once you pop it open, you get a bit of a surprise. Forgive the missing pieces, […]

Brewing Problem

Photos

Will’s bugging me to have him show me how to put photos in my posts.  He doesn’t think I can figure it out on my own.  Here’s a church we saw: Heehee.

English

I’ve heard a few people say that, sure, we’re going to Austria, but most Europeans speak English anyway.  There have been many times in Germany when people I’ve spoken to have switched to English upon hearing my accent.  However, since arriving in Linz, only one person has done that; it was a woman today at […]

Tummy Tub

Mary Jo is blogging right now too! I wonder who’ll post first! Today we went out to the only big shopping center we know of. I’m sure there are others, but we don’t know about them… yet. We hit the Toys R Us (yeah, they have them), and did some browsing. This particular store was […]

Meeting and Stuff

Well, I went yesterday to meet with some of the teachers I’ll be working with this school year.  They seem very nice and I think this could be a lot of fun. They seem to actually want me to be more of a friend than a teacher to the students so that they feel more […]

Hoppity Hop

We see this image a lot at souvenir shops. We’ve had more than a few people get the two confused. It’s funny.
